Behnerbad vormals Molzbergbad<\/p><\/div>\n

The origins of the Behner<\/strong> clan descend from a very large farm in Betzdorf\/Sieg In the Rhineland-Palatinate\/Germany called\u00a0 \u201cBannhof\u201d<\/strong>which means \u201cfree property\u201d.The owners of the original Bannhof called\u00a0 themselves\u00a0 \u201czum Ban\u201d<\/strong>and possessed a huge floorground containing the whole area on the right side of the river Sieg including the woods of the Molzberg.Pitily the initial Bannhof was diminished by a forced division about\u00a0 1200 A.D.<\/strong> in Bannhof West<\/strong> and Bannhof East<\/strong>(Hohenbetzdorf). The smaller west part of the Bannhof is documented\u00a0 for the first time in 1249<\/strong>\u00a0 and situated on the expand of ground of the Betzdorf colony and the Molzberg mountain slope spanning up from the BEHNERBRUCH<\/strong>(Behnerswamp) across the BEHNERHARDT<\/strong> (Behnerwoodslope) to the monumental awesome BEHNERKOPF<\/strong> (Behnerhead) a tremendous rock granting a gorgeous view overlooking the winding Sieg valley and reminding of a proud free clan of independent farmers. The first Bannhof owner mentioned in a document is represented by the legendary Peter zum Ban<\/strong> born in 1540 A.D<\/strong>. who substituted the original main\u00a0 central building by a new edifice in 1583. While the heirs of the Bannhof called themselves \u201czum Ban\u201d<\/strong> the lots of brothers and sisters leaving the paternal property received a juridically differentiated\u00a0 name change to B\u00e4hner<\/strong> or Behner<\/strong>. The Bannhof was transformed in a real Bahnhof (Train station) when being bought by a train company in 1864 <\/strong>to provide train workers\u00b4 homes urgently needed at this time. One of the last descendants of the Behner (zum Ban) clan lives near Betzdorf in the former farm Neu-Kalteich <\/strong>founded by the legendarySebastian Behner<\/strong> in 1864. <\/strong>The Behner family at Neu-Kalteich officially renamed\u00a0 the BEHNERKOPF<\/strong> (Behnerhead)on \u00a0the 10th<\/sup> of July 2018<\/strong> with the permission<\/strong> of Oliver Schneider<\/strong> \u00a0the only present heir and owner of the whole Molzberg wood. <\/strong>All American Behner emigrants are greeted and invited to contact me and to join my Behner genealogical \u00a0research.Hans Ulrich Behner<\/strong> (Mainz\/Germany)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

1000 A.D. <\/strong>the representatives of the \u201czum Ban\u201d<\/strong> clan\u00a0 still living on the original expand of ground of the Bannhof (mark 1) are documented as \u201cviri liberi\u201d<\/strong> in the well known charta of Haiger.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1249 <\/strong>First nomination of an already diminished Bannhof<\/strong> (mark 2) after a division sale forced by the lordship of Freusburg.<\/span><\/p>\n

Peter zum Ban *1540 <\/strong>( Bannhof) is the first individually registered ancestor of the \u201czum Ban\u201d, \u201cB\u00e4hner\u201d and \u201cBehner\u201d dynasty. Father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Gerhard zum Ban *1570 <\/strong>(Bannhof) + (Bannhof). He is the father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Erasmus zum Ban *1590 <\/strong>(Bannhof) + +1657<\/strong>(Bannhof).\u00a0 The father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Gerhard B\u00e4hner *<\/strong>(Bannhof), married with Katharina in1648<\/strong>.Father of\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthias Wilhelm B\u00e4hner * <\/strong>(Freusburg) + Auen (Wissen), married with Anne Maria and he is father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Roderich B\u00e4ner *1686 +1762 <\/strong>married with Judith and Katharina R\u00f6dgen and he is the father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Johannes Peter B\u00e4hner <\/strong>\u00a0*29.12.1741<\/strong> (Buchen) +29.10.1807<\/strong>(Dasberg). He was married with\u00a0 Elisabeth K\u00f6lzer\u00a0 *+2.2.1750(Reifenrath), father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Johannes Wilhelm Behner * <\/strong>27.8.1786 <\/strong>(Dasberg) +1828 <\/strong>(Bracht). Married with Maria Elisabeth Quast *22.6.1789 <\/strong>(Bracht) He\u00b4s father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Sebastian Behner\u00a0 <\/strong>*13.5.1818 <\/strong>(Bracht) + Neu-Kalteich<\/strong>, married with Elisabeth Dornhof *5.3.1825(Bomberg), founder of Neu-Kalteich<\/strong> in 1864<\/strong>.Father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Wilhelm Behner <\/strong>*10.1. 1856 <\/strong>(Bomberg) + 1923 (Neu-Kalteich)\u00a0 <\/strong>married with Pauline J\u00fcnger*15.12.1857(Alsenthal). He is the father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Otto Behner *<\/strong>17.11. 1896 (Neu-Kalteich) + 1968 (Neu-Kalteich)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>married with Mathilde Kalkert *1904 (Honigsessen) +14.7.1974(Kirchen). Father of<\/span><\/p>\n

Helmut Behner <\/strong>*22.2.1929 (Neu-Kalteich) + 1984 (Neu-Kalteich) <\/strong>Married with Martha Stodal *29.12.1932(Widschin\/Egerland)+ 28.4.2014 (Siegen).He is brother of Anita(1), Wendelin (2), Hermann(3) and Beate(4). Chidren of 1 (Anne), of 2 (Thomas and Karin), of 3 (Robert and Peter), of 4(Oliver and Ina). Helmut<\/strong> is the father of<\/span><\/p>\n
